At the beginning, he was very friendly however, mid-way through he stopped replying to our messages and would only phone back late at night. At the very end, he made us do a letting agents job and told the new tenants he was getting it professionally cleaned (which he asked us to lie about) then took most of our deposit over charges such as replacing a whole mattress (£200+) after a tea stain and a painter (also £200+) to paint over a couple of small stains. He only "worked in cash and over the phone" and therefore had no receipts or proofs of these costs. Overall, the last few weeks of living at the property were stressful and sour. STAY CLEAR or take legal action if he tries to scam you.
