The landlord leaves you to live your life in peace so he gets one star for that. However, landlord 'fix' things himself which means they don't get fixed. Mould on the walls passed off as lime coming through the wall and given mould-resistant paint to fix a persistent and serious damp and mould problem. The paint peels off the walls because of the wet. In winter a dehumidifier is needed to be on almost permanently or the inside of the back door becomes very wet. Landlords solution was to provide an electric heater. I heat the property, I pay £95pcm for gas and electric. The heating has broken and he has not prioritised it being fixed. The legal requirement is 24hrs (it is December and COLD) it has been three days, it is not fixed, and he told me to use the electric heater to warm the flat until he sorted it, despite there being no hot water. He has also increased rent two years in a row.
