Lies about rent prices, lies about rent in advance, doesn't return rent bonds and intimidates his tenants.
First tenancy was promised at £500 pm till we were ready to move and went up to £550. Promised to repair utilities.
For first 3 years of tenancy the rent bond was never put in a scheme. Then it was and no certificate was supplied and full bond returned to my ex partner, and i was expected to pay a second bond.
I paid £550 before my tenancy started as a month in advance. And despite conversations about being in advance as soon as i handed in notice there was no month in advance and i was expected to pay again! And then disputes rent bond over the matter.
Charged me for broken hob, that was siliconed in place by him and why it broke according to electrician that replaced it.
Refused to have a second quote for roof being fixed after his contractors verbally assaulted me in my own home. Also promised discount on a months rent for putting up with these contractors. Who were just as vile on second visit. I never got my discount and the workers used a scaffold that broke all regs. No safety in place and debris falling off roof.
Bullied neighbours into allowing access to property for work to be done, and then blocked a disabled access area.
This landlord has no clue about regulations or laws surrounding tenancy and needs some kind of regulation or educating in how to be a land lord.
I ended my tenancy upon land lord increasing rent to £575 PCM as the property was NOT in original state any more and needed major repairs.

Damp, wet, huge slug problem, utilities don't work, down graded from original state.
Roof leaked, windows never fitted correctly, lounge door dropped, oven only top element works, dishwasher (selling point) does't work.
Never decorated in 5 years of living there, had multiple leaks and never returned to original states.
Electrical system has intermittent faults caused by the amount of damp in the house.
Slugs on kitchen side and in lounge.
