Tenancy review for 69 Howe Street in Bridges, Gateshead rented from Fergus Newlands

Landlord was good at fixing issues. The boiler broke down and he had it replaced within 2 days. Same with other minor issues over the tenancy. Landlord lives in London, but it's his only property and he takes a lot of care to make sure everything is fine. There was no damage caused by us and the landlord gave us our full deposit back without any issues.

It's a nice property with good features and decor. There was some ware, but generally paint, wallpaper and carpets were all in good condition. There were slight issues with damp, but with ventilation they weren't too bad. Perhaps something the landlord could address in the future.

Area rating: 7

Unfortunately the area is not the best, the street is often full of rubbish and some neighbours aren't the most amicable.
On a plus side it is very close to a metro, there is a supermarket nearby and Newcastle is within walking distance.
