The landlord continually entered the property without prior warning. He owed builders £10,000 for their work, which resulted in builders entering the property unannounced (because they still had a key) and removing external doors to hold ransom until he paid.

This is a quiet neighbourhood, close to town and the station. It's not very studenty.
