If I could give lower than 1* I would.
They were fine (usual levels of negligence),before I decided to (in agreement with my tenancy agreement) move out early (change of sharer).
It takes one google to find out that the cost of a change of sharer process is protected by law from being over £50 (TFA 2019), and if it does cost more the agency needs to provide evidence as to why. Additionally, this was written in my tenancy agreement pretty much verbatim.
You can imagine my surprise then, when I received a bill for £420. I sent polite emails asking why it was so much etc only for my questions to be ignored. The only responses I received were thinly veiled threats along the lines of "if you don't pay now we won't let you leave".
They were unbelievably rude, as I was a student and in the midst of my finals at the time my dad tried to help but received similar terrible treatment.
Don't give these guys any business, they will try and swindle you if they can. It took me 12 months and the property ombudsman for them to read their own tenancy agreement and understand they were wrong. Pathetic.

Last winter we were without heating until February, Allen and Harris use Sequence for their property maintenance, we chased them multiple times a week to follow up, they did not keep in touch or sort out our problem.
It has just taken 6 months for an engineer to visit to fix a leak under our sink in the kitchen which was collecting 2 buckets of water a week and has caused a seriously unhealthy damp problem in our kitchen.
Allen and Harris blame Sequence, Sequence blame the landlord who lives in another country... we are the ones paying a fortune to live here and living in squalor
