We moved in and on the first night our vents broke, and were not fixed for over a year and a half, our oven broke a week into the tenancy and was replaced a month later and no alternatives were given to us even when it was deemed a safety issue.
We had a broken toilet for two and a half months that they wouldn't let us fix ourseleves but took so long to repair, and the only other toilet was an en-suite in our flatmates room, which was super intrusive. We had to report them to the council for the vents and mould growth and that is when we found out there HMO had expired, which they said was in place and correct but it was nto an HMO for five people.
