First we believed that our landlord is a good guy until issues with damp and mould arose by the winter. Before that we closed our eyes on some issues around the house , like a damaged floor, old leaking fridge, etc. As soon as we started complaining he showed us his true colours. He started first blaming us, and then completely ignoring.
He said one thing though - “ this is not a hotel guys and I don’t have to do anything around the house”
Basically he just received money every month that’s all. Once he sent a gas engineer though to do annual check, but only after I’ve mentioned the Council. Of course he didn’t provide us with the gas certificate the day we moved in.
