Landlords treated it like we were living in their own home, not a rental property. Didn't listen to advice on damp problems, spent money on new windows (making the matter worse) and tried to blame our 'lifestyle' for the issue. Told us they had never returned a holding deposit to a tenant. Tried to make us pay for redecorating, for example trying to charge for redecorating whole room due to tiny nick in wall paper in corner of alcove where paper was no flush to the wall anyway.
