Room for Improvement in Transparency and Fairness- Jyoti Harpalani,
Unfortunately, our experience with this landlord Jyoti Harpalani, was disappointing. While communication was generally timely, there were several concerns regarding fairness and transparency at the end of our tenancy.
Despite returning the property in a clean and well-maintained condition, we were presented with excessive and, in some cases, unjustified deductions from our deposit. Many of the issues listed had either existed prior to our tenancy (with evidence) or fell under reasonable wear and tear. Additionally, the Check-Out Report was delayed well beyond the agreed timeframe, impacting our ability to address or dispute matters promptly.
We also felt that some of our concerns raised during the tenancy—such as maintenance and safety issues—were not properly addressed, despite clear communication. As a landlord, we expected a more balanced and responsible approach in line with tenancy laws and agreements.
While the property itself was in a good location and met our needs during the tenancy, we hope the landlord takes this feedback on board to ensure a fairer experience for future tenants.
