Good shops and places to eat, close to the uni

Close to everything and accessible

A really convenient spot. You've got a Sainsbury's Local and Tesco just nearby, so shopping is never an issue. It's a quiet road compared to some of the busier ones like Dawlish, which makes a nice difference day to day. Not a far walk from campus at all, and close to the gym and all the coffee shops. Overall a pretty great location — hard to fault it.

This area was nice, it felt same and communal, often seeing neighbours and other local residents

Too noisy and unstable strange environment.

Okay, a few break ins and kind of messy, but I'm used to that as a student. The only major issue is the bins - recycling hasn't been taken in about 2 years and there is rubbish all over the streets.

I really like the area of Selly Oak, I think it’s nice to be around so many students living in the same type of house as you.
