The neighbourhood is a nice quiet area with large houses. There is a parade of shops about 10 minutes walk from the building, a primary school, a local hospital, GP surgery. The town centre and seafront is 20 minutes walk away.

It’s a pretty rough area and I thought I’ve seen it all in my time. On several occasions we’ve had the police show up to our door looking for previous tenants. We’ve had people randomly knocking at our door at 3am asking to come in.
One time there was a robbery on the other side the estate (you could see all the police and commotion happening from our back window) one of the robbers ended up in our garden and escaped through the side access (property is semi detached). We had to sleep with bats next to the bed as we were so scared. As soon as I found out I was pregnant we knew we had to leave. A woman was also sexually assaulted about 200 yards from this property the week we moved in.
Cars rev up and down the hill every night which will keep you up. Car accidents are regular occurrences and the police are nearly stationed in and around the estate 24/7.

The location is pretty great, with very close access to all popular pubs, shops and restaurants within Southsea as well as walking distance to Gunwharf etc. Never any issues with security.

Tranports are really close and convinient. There are several stores and places near my accommodation. But the area looks a little unsafe sometimes.

A bit rough and have had troubles with the neighbours with parking spaces so ended up having to buy a permit
