14 Old Orchard Street, Kingsmead, Bath

The property is situated on one of the prettiest streets in central Bath and is a perfect location for students travelling to university being so close to the station. This is, however, the only positive aspect of the property, and I suspect this is because property's location is the only thing that Mario isn't responsible for looking after.

The property itself leaves a lot to be desired. The bills are extortionate as the radiators are incredibly inefficient and leave most of the flat unbearably cold in the winter. This is only exacerbated by windows that are so drafty you feel the winter wind on your face as you try to sleep. The plumbing is shocking and taps drip all day as you cannot fully turn them off. This means that monthly bills often add up to around £100 per Tennant (nearly £500).

The kitchen is dirty and dark with an extractor fan that sounds more like a jet engine than a kitchen appliance. The lighting is reminiscent of a KGB interrogation room meaning we all had to buy lamps to light the room in a way that wouldn't have given us a headache.

The walls between bedrooms appear to be made of stale weetabix, meaning that privacy is a precious commodity. I didn't mind as much as I was close friends with all of my flatmates, however such a lack of privacy would make living with strangers very difficult.

The most confusing thing about this property is the huge TV that is situated in the living room/ kitchen. This is only confusing because throughout the rest of the house Mario has avoided spending a penny on the living comforts of his tennants but has somehow found the generosity to slap a 50 inch TV in the middle of the place... has the Samsung store been robbed recently? For some reason the phrase 'makeup on a pig' comes to mind...
