Rat issues. List of repairs from Environmental Health that were never fixed. Attic bedroom doesn’t heat to legal requirements in winter and so is unusable. There was no insulation in there, the roof now has the bare minimum legally required, the other areas don’t.
Gas bill per month PRE any rises were £200 a month, and the house was barely warm with attic bedroom freezing cold. Probably cost around £600 a month now for the same result.
Mid terrace - one side abandoned, severely neglected, holes in the windows, rotting timber window frames, overgrown “garden” with small extension that’s falling down. Sucks heat out too. The other side has no soundproofing and you can hear everything going on, large family in there, they’re pleasant and the noise isn’t their fault.
Next door but one - converted in around 6 or 7 bed sits, including the cellar. Create a lot of waste and noise.
