Two bedrooms, good size. Basement flat. Property full of mould, damp inside most rooms. She concealed this when showing the property as she had freshly painted over everything. When I initially told her about the damp in the walls, she pretended she didn't know about it and then eventually sent me a thread to show me she was liaising with the leaseholders about this issue. I read through the thread and realised it went back to 2017, and pictures were attached, showing severe damp and mould all over the flat. Towards the end of the tenancy, rodents had come through the pipework of the toilet and when she was first notified, she said she was on holiday and couldn't do anything about it. When pressed about the health and safety issue, she eventually came and then proceeded to buy insufficient equipment when replacing the pipework (which was chewed through, our waste all over the remaining parts of pipe and floor - the toilet was enclosed so it was not visible externally). She had to come back 3 days later as the rodents came back and chewed through the pipework again. You could literally hear them moving around behind the toilet. Luckily, they did not come up through the toilet bowl. She even had the audacity to ask us to use our hoover to clean up the rodents' faeces. This escalated and we eventually had an argument. Awful experience with a property dressed up to look nice but completely rotting everywhere. It was also very cold in there, zero insulation in the property. Water would leak into the property everytime there was heavy rain. Just awful. Other than its size, it was a waste of money. Also, had to deal with contractors coming in and out of the property constantly as she tried to fix things over thetwo years (always cutting cost so she would be back soon). We literally saw her every couple of months over two years. The night after we moved in, the electricity short circuited as she used cheap labour.
