The building uses a terribly inefficient shared heating system and the landlord uses a very expensive energy tariff. As such, over winter we faced bills of over £350 a month just to keep our flat at room temperature for a few hours per day. We got stung heavily and ended up paying thousands over the course of the tenancy. The tenancy agreement also said that we had no say in which utility provider was selected. I advise against renting here if you like your home at room temperature. Furniture was also very cheap, the sofa started peeling it's fake leather within a couple of months and then so did the chairs!
