Property was severely ridden with severe damp in almost every wall, most confusingly the outer wall of the building. Wiring above the front door for meters and door bell was left exposed and never covered despite repeated enquiries.
Windows either did not lock, were painted shut, or had bars built over them throughout, and had to be modified for security's sake by hand. Front door was easily manipulated and not secure in any regard. Kitchen back door's bolt lock fell off during our time renting and was not repaired. The roof of the property's kitchen was covered in plastic tarp that remained unexplained throughout rental and went unremoved, implying structural issues with that section of the property. There had very clearly been years of irreparable water damage to the property that both agent and landlord remained avoidant on admitting to or repairing.
Almost all the furniture the flat was supplied with was broken and remains unreplaced (all still clearly visible in recent ads to rent the property). Inventory did not state many issues with the flat including large hole in one bedroom wall and loose wood panels in place of kitchen tiles (also still clearly visible in recent ads to rent the property). Property is currently being advertised with a clearly visible vomit stain on the mattress that was present when supplied with my room. The property had not been cleaned upon leasing. It is clear that no cleaning or repairs has been made to the property since our time renting which is now almost 4 years ago.
An independent surveyor stated when viewing the property that it should be deemed "legally unliveable".
