Twice inspected by environmental health, no repairs completed despite court order so on 2nd visit he received a prohibition order and was subsequently banned from renting the property as a residential property - causing 7 people to be made homeless.

Self-contained badly converted split level. No early signs of disrepair as moved in when "newly" converted.
Leaks, mould, poor locks, not double-glazed, no fixed heating, dangerous appliances, noisy, extreme cold in winter, windows nailed shut although one could be opened from the outside. Once did my own plumbing.
2 weeks (1 week at a time, 2 occasions) without hot water.
