Tenancy review for 11 Torridge Drive in Highfields Western Downs, Stafford rented from Hayley Robinson rented via Connells

I only met the landlord once due to the fact the property was managed through the estate agent. I believe this is the first time she had rented a property out to anyone. I had quite a few issues with the boiler whereby the heating and hot water would not kick in (luckily the shower was electric!) and I had several call outs to implement 'quick fixes' but these would only last a couple of weeks before it wouldn't work again. At one point I went almost three months without heating in the winter and had to use portable heaters to keep warm. Eventually the landlord gave in and finally had a new boiler installed - no issues after that!

The property was managed through the estate agent who were good with communication. I had to pay expensive fees as I moved in before the tenant fees ban. If there were any issues they often contacted the landlord for me as soon as possible. They came to review the house every six months to check everything was okay and going well and organised dates and times to suit me so I could be present.

The property was very nicely decorated and clean when I moved in. It was a small property but was two bedroomed semi detached with a large garden, shed and driveway. I was given permission to house my rabbits in the shed in the garden.

The local area was nice, I found it a bit of maze getting in and out of the estate when I first moved in. There were shops just a five minute walk away too. However I did have retired neighbours at the back of the house who used to hassle me regularly about the length of my grass, moan about other neighbours and their cats. I used to avoid them if possible - they were very nosey too!
