Throughout the tenancy, the landlord was fab. He repaired things when they needed repairing and always contacted us with plenty of notice if popping by. However, when it came to leaving the property, he had a look around and told us that everything was fine, agreed to the carpets having fair wear and tear, then said he would send our full deposit back. He then ripped the floors up before the end of our tenancy, and wanted money towards this. He then got very sour when we disagreed with this, and started threatening to dispute the payment. To go into the property, use the gas and electric that we're paying for, rip the floors up without giving us a chance to sort the carpets, then demand money for this... it's not on at all.

The property is small but good for a couple. It has a nice large garden with a firepit, but it is quite hard to upkeep. The property is clean. The carpets were horrible, they were white so show the slightest little bits of dirt. There was also a carpet in the downstairs toilet which wasn't nice. Overall though, the property was nice, on a quiet estate and has 3 parking spots which is ideal. We felt comfortable in the house.
