The so-called landlords were in fact renters of the house, and I entered into a contract with them under false pretenses as they pretended to be the owners of the property. They denied renting the property multiple times when probed, so I can only assume I was an illegal subletting lodger as why else would they lie about possession?

On leaving early due to a verbal change in the contract, they sent a defamatory and threatening email to my guarantors falsely accusing me of criminal damage to the property.

The property is in a poor state of repair with the shower being unfixed for over a year, the taps providing more pressure. The doors do not close properly and the walls are thin, providing no privacy.

The kitchen is basic, no washing machine and only 4 electric hobs with a second rate electric oven. The garden is small and poorly maintained.
