Initially easy to contact and arrange for a viewing, once there were issues with the accommodation as it wasn't in suitable condtions to live in, the agency decided to ignore me and I had to take them to the small claims court to get my money back for a 2 months rent. This process took a long time. I would advise anyone to avoid this agency/company at all costs. They will prey on anyone that is willing to do business with them.

Where do you even begin with Capital Care...

They delayed our moving in date for a week due to an 'electrical fault'. We had to couch surf for that week. We later found out that the actual reason was they forgot to ask the previous tenants to leave to let us in.
They refused to reimburse us the cost we incurred due to that week of couch surfing/airbnbing.

They haven't fixed anything in the flat since we moved in. The dryer is broken. The cold water tap doesn't work. The shower doesn't drain. None of the bedrooms have curtains or curtain fixtures on the windows. My bedroom door is broken. The fire door fitting is broken. The front door handle is broken.

The pinnacle of our stay here at the exquisite Bath Inn: We have bed bugs and they refused to exterminate them. When we complained, they responded by issuing us Section 21 Eviction notices. Frankly, we're glad to be leaving early. If we weren't locked in a fixed term contract, we'd have left the day we moved in.

The other reviews you can find about this shady business are all spot on. This is an agency owned and operated by crooks. Every interaction we have had with them has been unpleasant. I even have a voicemail from Oliver apologising for being "flat out busy" where you can hear him flush the toilet in the background. Talk about unprofessional...

Just don't give them your money. And if you're already locked in one of their fixed-term agreements, speak to the council. If your experience is even remotely similar to ours you'll have plenty to complain about. The council already have a case against them, and your tip-off will help with shutting them down for good.

It's hard to deal with these people, honestly. Not very supportive, communicative and allt hey care is how they take off money from you. They dont care the condition of the room that they'll give to the tenant. Just very unprofesisonal,

Capital Homecare are the definition of unprofessional. All they care about is overcharging and underdelivering.

They enter the property without warning and without proper protection. I was not given 24 hours notice of my bedroom being viewed and as a result I got locked out of my room whilst I was in the shower. I felt completely violated. The letting agent locked my phone and my keys in my room so I had no way of calling for help. If I had known they were coming, I would not have been in the shower.

When I called about replacing broken utilities, it took many phone calls over 6 months to get a replacement. When our drains were clogged, the ignored us. When our shower was leaking and water was coming out of a lightbulb, it took them 3 days to respond. Even when they did come to fix it, they told us they would not do anything because it would mean replacing all the pipes. The light batten is also broken and they have not fixed it in over 6 months but their in-house communication is so poor that they believe they have fixed this issue. Despite me telling them it is still broken, it has not been resolved.

DO NOT RECOMMEND! CAPITAL CARE INVESTMENTS / CAPITAL HOME-CARE / HOMESHARE.co.uk are FRAUDULENT COMPANIES!

I'm an international student who rented one of their studios. I’ve found their studio online and contacted them by email – I was contacted on the same day by their agent Linzi on WhatsApp. At the beginning the communication was very easy and swift – until we paid the first holding deposit. We asked for the contract which we needed quite urgently. It took them over a month and multiple requests to do so. But before we got it, we had to pay 2 months of rents in advance, which is an illegal request according to the Tenant Fees Act 2019 (TFA). I didn’t know that at this time and paid roughly 1 500 GBP in advance to get the signed and valid contract which commenced in December. When I arrived in the UK, they denied me access to the property I’ve been renting and paying for. As this was during national lockdown (January 2021) I literally was homeless as all the hotels were closed. This was an extremely stressful situation in a foreign country without relatives or friends. They claimed that this was due to some legal covid-related reasons. I contacted Students Union Advice (SU) and they informed me that this is not true and these legal covid-related reasons do not exist at all. I demanded to see their Redress scheme – every credible and legal letting agency has to provide that – they couldn’t provide it. I wrote several emails of complaint but further communication was simply denied, they just kept the money. It took several weeks, SU Advice’s support, several threats of getting City Council involved until I got a phone call at 22:30 pm(!) of the boss of the company Oliver, pretending not to have known about that incident at all and “never ever having received any emails” – even though I had the written confirmation of one of his employees that they received the email. Finally, I got the reimbursement but I had to take down my initial rating for his company.
Personal Opinion:
Absolute shady and not credible companies, make sure to stay away from them! Oliver, Linzi, Capital Care Investment and Capital Home-care made my arrival in Nottingham an absolute nightmare. These companies can’t provide legal requirements and simply live from exploiting unexperienced tenants. No moral or work ethic at all, never been lied to so blatantly!

If you’re student make sure to contact SU Advice before signing a contract or if you are not a student, go for housing advice at Citizens Advice.
