Fine, often slow to fix maintenance issues, and frequently send irrelevant or wrong information which leads to confusion, stress and hassle, however the deal for the house is quite good, and they have let us keep the rental price fixed for multiple years

Had many things break and they’ve always sent someone out very quickly. However, they don’t like you to go to the shop in person, you have to send an email and often need to wait a few days for a problem you can fix in person. But other than that all processes involving them such as moving in and out have been clear and easy.

Literally the worst!!!! Please don’t get a house with them, they shouldn’t still be running as a company. Our house was absolutely disgusting when we moved in and took weeks for us to make it into a liveable state.
This company does so much illegal stuff eg when we moved in we had no fire alarms, fire blankets or carbon monoxide alarms and this took months to be fixed. Also charged us over £400 at the end of our tenancy for cleaning despite the fact that we scrubbed it to a pristine condition and left it SO much better than how we found it. Tried to dispute but they were very dismissive and as we’re students we can’t afford to take legal action.
Also generally awful throughout the year, promising to fix stuff which never gets done and lying etc. PLEASE don’t go with them, they have a terrible reputation in the University of Birmingham and they’re crooks to be honest.

The worst letting agency there is. The individuals there are extremely rude, lie about when people are coming to sort out the property and are generally an awful agency in every respect.

Some members of staff did try to help the awful situation with our neglectful landlord. However, house hunt as a company should not allow landlords to do their own maintenance when they have a history (apparently years) of refusing to do any and not responding to even their own messages. It reflects badly on them. Therefore I would not recommend househunt before you check who is in charge of maintenance.

The agency never once dealt with any of our issues reported and only told us that they couldn’t get in contact with our landlord. Due to their failureof contact with our landlord they refused to fix any of the issues we had in the house. They pretended that they were trying to fox issues we had but not a single thing was fixed over the whole year of our tenancy, even things that we reported as soon as we moved in and should have been fixed before we moved in. Disgusting service, left ignored for weeks and even then nothing got done.

HouseHunt took their sweet time between every correspondence and often got things wrong or messed up. They were also just belittling of problems. For example, when I reported that there were people lifting up tiles in the garden, digging and mixing cement they told me that the landlord was probably just mixing cement for another property. Low and behold, he was building an illegal extension (in the way that it infringed on our rights of peaceful enjoyment of the property during the tenancy and the notice of building work that wasn’t given).
As soon as we got the Landlords number everything was more streamlined and we were able to resolve things much more quickly. So if you ever have to live here, make sure you do get their number.

House hunt is understanding although quite overpriced and most definitely always looking for cheap fixes rather than long lasting ones. (we've had our fridge replaced 3 times this year)
