Unfortunately, we didn’t read reviews about this letting agent beforehand - a mistake on our part. We decided to proceed with the property because weloved it; however, we later discovered that this agent has serious issues with record keeping. They lost our ingoing inventory amendment report due to a change in their management system, which caused us financial harm.

We hope this review helps others make an informed decision and exercise caution when dealing with this agent for rental matters.

Awful service from Hunters from start to finish - had to chase documentation at every stage, they failed to disclose key information about the property

Rubbish letting agent, they don't reply to emails. I had to write a formal complaint just to get some answers about my deposit that they didn't protect, but they issued me the Prescribed Information anyway. Landlady wasn't happy with them so any repairs and problems had to be made to the landlady direct

The agency was very professional and I'd recommend it, apart from the fact that they could have accepted my complaint about the flat not being cleanedmore seriously.

Hunters in West Hampstead and the Hunters property management company leave a lot to be desired. They work very hard to get you in the property, but aren't good at anything else. They took 10 days to repair the fridge, which they ended up replacing. We had two long running boiler problems over the 2.5 years at the flat. Over both winters we lost the boiler for 2 months. Also the new boiler leaked after a poor installation. All through the above Hunters were slow, didn't communicate and didn't organise their contractor. It was up to us to chase the contractor and organise their time. When things went wrong Hunter's internal escalation process repeatedly failed. Hunter's property management staff were over worked, never new what was going on and were constantly apologising. They also said the problem would be the fixed the next day, no matter what the problem was even if they didn't know the root cause. Which left us with many, many, many broken promises. Seems to me they run on a shoe string budget and don't have the people to run their operation properly (unless they are getting money out of you). I will never use Hunters estate agents again. Google reviews for Hunters are very high, if you look at the people leaving the reviews, they are weird accounts, that only leave good reviews against certain types of companies. I.E. Hunter's are paying for favourable reviews. Every 10 reviews or so, is a real stinker, with an experience just like ours.

The boiler was broken when we moved in meaning we had no hot water or heating over winter. Sent various workmen round to fix it but each said it was a different issue. Was never fixed. Eventually we were told we could stay with no hot water or heating and pay £100 less/month or leave.
