Mark is a really nice guy. He is a buy-to-let landlord owning several properties, however, he seemed like a genuinely conscientious and decent person. He was really friendly and wanted to get to know us, which we appreciated. He took pride in the property, which he had refurbished himself after buying it at auction. Any issues we had with repairs were dealt with promptly. Communication was really good, and he respected our right to enjoy the property and make it our home without constant interference. We stayed in touch with him after life circumstances forced us to move out, as we would love to rent from him again in future.
The only reason I didn't give him full marks was because he went through an agency, which inevitably cost everyone a lot of money and hassle.
