Beware of this landlord, he will appear reasonable and considerate until you pay the holding deposit then he will find ways to retain the funds fraudulently and without cause as he has done with me or he will suggest you provide him ‘extra security’ over and above the use of guarantor, paying rent upfront - he is essentially running a scam.
