This landlord has very little respect for his tenants and purely sees them as a form of income rather than real human beings.
First time I interacted him was when he turned up unannounced and started putting the keys in door (we weren’t given the correct number of keys when we moved in and needed one cutting so he apparently was checked which one needed cutting but did not give the 24 hours notice that he was coming). Despite me being clearly shaken and frustrated at what he had done he did not apologise.
I have reported multiple maintance issues (lock on back door broken, mould, leak above door, mouse infestation) and he hasn’t responded to any of the issues.
Our flat (and the other flats in the building) were advertised as having off-road parking, yet the landlord and his staff (he also owns the solicitors next door to our flat) frequently use these spaces themselves when they have been advertised as being for the tenants.
The flat isn’t obvious has very clearly been converted into a domestic flat from a shop in a very cheap and poorly constructed fashion as there are too many issues to mention.
Overall, very little positive to say about this landlord and would avoid at all costs.
