The landlord stole our deposit, by letting the property to us through a series of shell companies so that she could deny that she knew we ever lived there. She threatened us with eviction on 4 occasions when we requested proof that the deposit was protected.
As soon as we paid our final rent, she stopped returning our phonecalls and emails. We got a lawyer to take her to court, but after a lengthy procedure he advised us that he did not think we would win due to how the property was being let through a third party. We lost £4000.
On top of this, she was almost impossible to reach throughout the tenancy. In the occasions that we did reach her representative, she was confrontational, threatening and abusive.
If I could give a negative star rating then I would.
