Jesmond is the best area of Newcastle, certainly is beautiful with tall trees, victorian houses and many shops and cafes. However student areas tend to be very neglected, with landlords and students not removing weeds, so front of houses look horrible, I cleared up moss and placed flowers, but rest no good. Back roads (rubbish bins roads) are the kingdom of trush and rats... All of this for over £750 per month!!!

Jesmond is a lovely area of Newcastle upon Tyne. Its perfect for students however, can be expensive. There are lots of bars, restaurants, takeaway shops, and pubs, however, there is not much provision in terms of grocery shopping - only a small Waitrose, a Sainsbury's local, and a small Tesco metro. There are 2 metro stations in Jesmond (Jesmond and West Jesmond station), however, it is only a short walk into the center of town and to the unis. Jesmond dene and Town moor are easy to access and are both lovely, especially in the summer.

The street is nice, close to Tesco and just off Osborne road so close to bars and restaurants. West Jesmond metro station is a 5 minute walk away. The street is quiet, but if you have the downstairs bedroom you can hear absolutely everything being said/ played on the TV/ parties at night from the living room in the next door house.
