Letting agent review for NUstudenthomes, Newcastle

Agency rating: 2
NUStudentHomes - eventually they would try cover up problems, such as painting over mould. Other problems were left and then we were not given back our full deposits because of these problems e.g. When we moved in there was food and crumbs in the oven and down the sides of the oven, which we removed as much as we could but it needed serious work doing which they then charged us for and probably just took the money leaving the same problem for the next tenants.

Property review for 7 Larkspur Terrace, Jesmond, Newcastle Upon Tyne

Property rating: 1
This property is very old and you can certainly tell. There is mould in the bedrooms and the bathrooms were filthy with one of them having huge black spots of mould across the whole ceiling. Cheap sofas were completely ripped apart in places with dirt and bits left down the sides of the cushions from previous tenants. Walls needed repainting. Bannister was hanging off the wall. Oil/cooking splats all over cupboards and walls in the kitchen, and no back to the cupboards meant slugs often found on your plates and food inside the cupboards. The front garden was completely overgrown and spilling onto the path to the door and pavement on the street which lead to letters from the council to remove it. The plants and weeds were just pulled out with no treatment to the garden meaning it just grew back. This place is disgusting and I would never set foot in there again.

Area review for Jesmond, Newcastle Upon Tyne

Area rating: 7
The street is nice, close to Tesco and just off Osborne road so close to bars and restaurants. West Jesmond metro station is a 5 minute walk away. The street is quiet, but if you have the downstairs bedroom you can hear absolutely everything being said/ played on the TV/ parties at night from the living room in the next door house.
