Good area in theory - close to the station and a lively neighbourhood, but in practice it was AWFUL.

We recognised, being on the ground floor, with the bedroom looking onto the street, that there would be traffic noise, but in addition, the cafe next door has its patrons standing right outside the window all day and night. Dodgy dealings go on on that corner late at night, with car engines and radios blaring right outside the window. I've been ushered inside the flat by 4 drunk men trying to change their friend out of soiled clothes in the yard, woken up to rough sleepers rummaging in the bins, been threatened by a drug dealer who I asked to turn off his car radio, been cat called by men loitering outside my own house and laughed at when I ask them not to litter, been shouted at by the next door cafe owner who was insistent that the maggots in the front yard were our fault and causing his business damage, despite the litter coming from his patrons. The list goes on.

I love a lively neighbourhood, but I also like sleep, so I can't recommend this location.
