Neighbourhood and local area reviews for renting in London

Good local area - close to tube stations and good shops/supermarkets nearby. Quite a noisy road.

Fairly isolated, no cafes, shops, or culture as such. Bus stop directly outside and short cab ride to Brixton or Balham tube station. Nice and quiet location.

I love the area, but find a different place to live in it. I would happily move in next door, just so long as I can warn every new tenant to get out without paying their last 2 months of rent.

Great transport links, handy high street shops, area improving. Near to a local park, decent neighbours.

Great being so close to Upper Street in London as well as Highbury and Islington with Overground and Victoria lines.

Not a very good neighborhood. Didn't feel very safe at night, not much to do there either.

Local area was great. Nice and quiet - lovely gardens etc. Great neighbours. Lots of cool little shops and pubs with interesting evenings/theme nights.

Crouch end is quite nice.

(all in all its a decent area to live)

> no tube connection and the busses are very hit and miss in the morning - be warned if you commute anyplace south, could be very awkward at 8am.

> For a relatively settled area there was quite a bit of crime. My neighbour had an armed burglary in which he was threatened with a weapon. I also seen some fights on the high street. Still as London goes I felt the immediate area was fine even if the surrounding neighbour hoods could be sketchy. I'd still recommend the area overall.

Nice area. Parks and amenities close by. Shops etc. Landlord obviously make a good investment.

Good neighbourhood, next to the tube station and 24 hour buses.
Also had an amazing park at a 5 minute walk from the apartment.
