The landlord was not willing to do the repairs that were necessary, was rude, grandiose and was denying the issues. When he did fix something he always found the cheapest solution ignoring safety and long term efficiency. I had to leave the property because he told me that if I didn't like the conditions I should leave. He also did some repairs by himself and insisted on coming for several days.

Poor maintenance. Lack of heating and heat losses due to lack of sealing in the windows and doors leading to a cold and energy costly property. Many problems occurred due to the absence of proper repairs for many many years.
Water leaks from the bathroom and bad electrics, as well as cheap construction materials all, result in an expensive and unsafe house. The landlord provided electric portable heaters that were unsafe and inefficient.
