Troydale Park Pudsey

After moving out (and I believe we left the property in as good a condition as we found it, which is in good condition) the landlord (who's name is Jason Devoti) refused to return our deposit, citing that we had left the property in bad condition. We disagreed, and so I took it up with the DPS, using the certificate that the landlord had given me. The DPS told me that the Jason had withdrawn the deposit many months ago and so there was nothing they could do. At this point Jason was sending me abusive text messages when I asked him to return the deposit and put it to him that we would escalate the matter if he refused.

I took Jason to county court and used photographs of the property to make my case. I won the case. Jason was ordered to return the money but he didn't. Further attempts to escalate the matter have failed. So on paper I have won the case but I am over a grand out of pocket (including legal fees).

It's a nice quiet area. The buses aren't great; they're infrequent and often didn't show up. The train station is a considerable walk away, about 45 minutes.
