The agency, Kelrick Properties, where good throughout our tenancy, however, when it came to get our deposit back, they are shockingly bad.
The landlord (Stuart and Julie Knowles) made a statement saying that the carpet smelled of pet urine, however, the agency confirmed to me in writing that it did not. The agency then submitted a claim to the Tenancy Deposit Service stating that it did smell of pet urine. How an agency can knowingly submit something that is false, in, what I feel was an attempt to help the landlord scam me out of part of my £2400 deposit is beyond me, and is misrepresentation. Something I feel is wholly inappropriate for a letting agent to do. They are supposed to tell the truth, but falsifying information, and presenting it as their own belief, while telling me that they are just doing as instructed by the landlord is unacceptable and I would like others to know that this kind of attitude towards tenants is being supported by Kelrick Properties.
