Fairly friendly, fairly good service. Not impressed with the handling of the move-out, but that's 9/10ths on the landlord, not the agency.

Eve Brown is extremely slow and hesitant to fix issues with the house. They generally try to blame problems on you (they insisted that I was simply misusing the dysfunctional vacuum...)

We got most of our deposit back, though.

Useless. Ignored requests for months. Disregarded complaints and tried to exploit us. No care for students - Eve Brown herself would steal money from students to exploit them if she could. Doesn’t care about tenants or her property empire - she only wants to make money.

Very slow with repairs - need multiple reminders and even then some things never got sorted. Definitely overcharging us for the place we had. Didn't seem to have our best interests at heart (never fixed house problems we emailed about, and then only fixed an overflowing sewage pipe in the front yard when a neighbour complained). Very particular with house inspections given the old quality of the property and how bathroom was prone to mould / hoover was broken.

Our letting agency was incredibly unhelpful and rude to us throughout the semester. It would take multiple requests for them to send someone for some repairs, and they would completely ignore requests for others. We alerted them multiple times about issues with mould growth and they did nothing. In addition, we had multiple instances where our communications went ignored or unanswered. Our inventory was sent to us after the 24 hour period of our first moving in - meaning that we could not notify them of any missing inventory or anything that was not cleaned properly. Finally, they demanded we provide our move out date prior to the 30 days required by law, and refused to give some of us recommendations until we did, while others were provided with recommendations anyways. The property was incredibly overpriced for its condition and the letting agency was unhelpful and ignored severe issues with the property.

Agency was horrible to deal with. Failed to fix many things that we were told would be fixed prior to us moving in. We repeatedly reported the same issues we had had since day 1 and some were never fixed. We explicitly told them in writing we were not comfortable with them issuing keys to strangers and that they must arrange with us beforehand if anyone is coming to the property so that we can be present- something that is standard practice. They not only ignored this but constantly forgot to give us the legally required 24 hours notice and provided various excuses for this throughout the year, including their email was down and they network wasn't working. This resulting in us waking up to electricians in our apartment and as two girls living alone we were very uncomfortable with this because these men didn't even know we were home and came into our rooms while we were sleeping. The electricians were also angry about this as they felt uncofrtable as well and told us they assumed we knew as it had been on their schedule for months. This happened other times as well and they continued to issue keys despite our telling them no. This also resulted in workers leaving a mess as no one was home including a plumber removing a pipe and when we turned on the water it went everywhere.

The folks at Eve Brown are nice, but weren't super great at getting things fixed. Mainly the contractors they brought in to fix things were pretty bad. Also they charged us a hefty amount in cleaning bills when we left.

Slow to repair things, even if important like heating. We did have to get Fife Council involved so they would actually do the repairs we needed. Sometimes they just ignore your emails requesting repairs. They will try to blame you for everything and can be incredibly rude. 3 stars because much to our surprise we did get all of our deposit back.

The agency has been okay. They have been fairly quick to make repairs but have not always done exactly what they should. There was also an issue with them not paying bills prior to our tenancy starting and so we started getting red letters about unpaid bills. This was resolved though.
