Close* to the shopping park, which has a range of shops such as carpetright and shoezone. Not too far* from Aldi, or Sainsbury’s if you’re a snob. Unfortunately we didn’t get to experience the delights of Selly Oak, as our front door kept breaking and we were regularly trapped inside.

*I should stress that Heeley Road is approx 500 miles long, and this house is at the end. Rumour has it The Proclaimers based their hit song on this street.

We had no issues with our neighbours. Parking was easy to load/unload. It is a bit unattractive with all the wheelie bins outside.

Feels like a safer area than main selly oak, with ample parking around the area unlike some other places.

It's Selly Oak, so don't expect a "nice, quiet" area in the typical sense. There will be noise at nights and some areas are a bit grotty, but in my opinion Heeley Road is one of the best parts. The house is very close to the station which is great, as well two minutes' walk from the local booze/convenience store, Campus Wines. Being on a cul-de-sac off Heeley makes it feel a little more homely than in a standard terraced house like in most of Selly Oak.

On Dale Road, so best location for shops, getting to uni, transport. Sometimes noisy as you can hear people leaving the pubs (particularly after a football match) but not too much of an issue

It's a bit of a dodgy area but if you're street smart you're fine. We live next to a skate park which isn't kept very nice.

Just Selly Oak, north road isn't too noisy apart from the occasional noise from a loud group in the beer garden at the goose. Well lit road and feel safe because of proximity to main road. Permit required for parking on north road.

I mean, it's Selly Oak. Having said that, walkable to Bournville, Stirchley and Canon Hill Park which is great. V good Indian takeaway and chippy 2 mins away.

6 minute walk to selly oak train station, 1 minute to Tesco and 2-3 minutes to uni and Aldi. Bristol road is 30 second walk and has lots of shops and places for food. Not a nice place at night due to high crime rates.

Nice area, mix of students and families. Cars cut round the one way system when the junction is busy and are noisy and disruptive though

Selly oak is fun, lots of nice pubs. Edgy at night time. Good as pretty much every student lives in Selly oak so close to see your friends.
