Neighbourhood and local area reviews for renting in Bristol

The house is located next to a student house on the left and a 3 storey council flats on the right. There is a known crackhead living in the council house and the police would often be called due to men brandishing axes and occasionally chase people on the street. Police would often attend. There is also a guy who clearly needs to be 24/7 institutionalised as he likes to smoke right next to my ground floor rear bedroom window and stars in at a distance of 1.5m away from his garden. NHS contractors would often come to get him in a van and he would disappears for a few days.
There is also regular domestic violence heard from a couple next door and the police are often called out.

The addition of a Sainsburys downstairs was great. So close to the train station. Easy walk to castle park. Only issue is the noise from people leaving motion if you're on one of the lower floors and sleep with the window open.

Decent neighbours, fairly quiet. OK transport links. Close to shops and local High Street.

Being so close to lodge causeway you get a healthy dose of Bristol finest bin kickers but also everything you need is close by, you've got a Tesco express and 17 barbershops (I've actually counted them). A perfect mix in my opinion. I miss seeing the self proclaimed 'sideways sally' dancing outside my house with a bottle of lambrini periodically headbutting the bus stop, sometimes I still take a detour down Charlton road just to catch a glimpse of some of the craziness. Pizza Milano used to be good, but they've put their prices up and started to use frozen bases, not many places in Bristol though where you can get a pizza and a portion of chips. Swings and roundabouts...

Redland is a very pleasant place to live.

Good location, easy transport to city centre, surrounded by shops and other local amenities.

Close to shops and transport. Nice area of Bristol. House itself run down and not been cared for.

Lots to do and see plenty of shops round the corner and bus stops right outside the flat was a excellent location. Weather was always soooooo good aswell !

Long Ashton is a lovely area, great sense of community there and we were very sad to have to leave the village.

The local neighbourhood was nice (local park), although the neighbours were quite noisy.
