I would have given zero stars if not for the landlords’ attentiveness when something went wrong inside the flat. One ongoing issue was the noise from outside and upstairs—we could always hear footsteps, which we eventually got used to and didn’t mind. However, when new tenants moved in, things got significantly worse. They frequently hosted loud parties, sometimes more than twice a week, often on weeknights, and these would continue into the early hours of the morning. The situation became even more worrying when party guests regularly left the building’s front door wide open (needs to be shut firmly) raising serious safety concerns—we even encountered homeless individuals in the stairwell. There was also evidence of drug use in the upstairs flat. Despite multiple complaints to the police and landlords, the landlords showed no concern stating there was nothing they could do.

To make matters worse, when our tenancy ended, they raised the rent by £900 per month without offering any improvements or solutions to the issues we had experienced.
