First off, the house itself was quite large, all the bedrooms were very spacious and having two bathrooms is always a plus for a house with five bedrooms and lots of natural light.
The garden was so nice but it had decking off to the side that was such a safety hazard, and the shed only had three sides to it. The garden gate's lock fell off quite early on in our tenancy and despite many follow ups with the landlord it was never fixed which meant our garden gate was left unlocked at all times which was quite a safety issue, especially cause we could see so many drug deals and car jackings in the area. We had police visit our house once asking if we saw anything as a car jacking happened directly across from our house and someone once jumped over our fence and ran through our gate to get away from the police.
We paid a fair rate, £700 each for a five bed but one of the reasons we left was because we saw that the landlord was increasing the rent to £4,800 which frankly the house is not worth.

Now onto the main issue - MOULD and lots of it. the house clearly has rising damp and the landlord was doing everything in his power to ignore it or blame it on someone. If you live here, prepare to buy LOTS of mould spray as it would come back again and again. We had an ant and mouse issue as well - the mouse issue seemed to resolve itself or at least we couldn't see them anymore but the ants never went away. It was also SO COLD in the winter, like huddle in the living room with blankets and a space heater cold, leave the oven door open after cooking so it helps to heat the room cold. Heating would do very little, and due to the mould our landlord recommended we open the windows in the middle of winter with the heat on to help get rid of it.
