Tenancy review for 192 Stanmore Lane in St Luke, Winchester rented from Liz Macload

If I could give Liz Macleod and her husband Neil zero stars I would. Liz would repeatedly enter our property with less than twenty four hours notice. All repairs on the house were carried out by her husband who is supposedly a qualified electrician but we were never shown any proof of such. Liz would constantly attempt to be nasty to us or talk down to us because we were students and then play the victim whenever we made valid points to her or raised concerns with her. He husband has had shouting matches with myself and another housemate due to his and his wife’s behaviour. I would highly recommend that students wanting to move into 192 Stanmore Lane think otherwise. Liz and her husband are truly two of the worst people I have ever met. I’m thankful that myself and my other housemates were slightly older as they would likely make most first years and freshers quit university due to their abhorrent behaviour.

I lived in a 5 bedroom house all double bedrooms. One of the bed rooms was deemed too small to rent as a room by the council. Three of the rooms had mould in and one of the mattresses was infested with bedbugs. The kitchen had a dishwasher that had been broken for an entire year before my tenancy began and was still not replaced or fixed when I moved out. This is in addition to a sink that broke constantly. An oven that caught fire and wasn’t serviced properly after which. A shower that broke every two weeks for 3 months. We had three draws in a freezer to share between five people and barely enough fridge space. We had wifi take was slow as hell and went down at least once per day.

The only good things about the property were that it was within walking distance to the university, had a close bus link to the town centre and was a two minute walk from the local Onestop. The neighbours were horrible. They would report us to Liz for the most minor of things these include;
Having a BBQ
Watching a film to loud
Moving a bed
Coming home from the student union past ten o’clock at night
Play on the Xbox too loud
Having a household dinner
Smoking in the backgarden
Watching the season finally of Peaky Blinders at 8:30
And various others. Yet they are more than will doing to do housework at 7am on a Sunday morning and think nothing off it. Break government imposed lockdown, multiple times to have parties and withholding parcels.
