Tenancy review for 80 Hough Green in Handbridge Park, Chester rented from Margaret Goodrich rented via Ashton and Grosvenor

She was supposed to be managing the property but was clueless all she cared about is getting the money. When it came to repairs she would send someone that created new problems each time. When I questioned things she would constantly lie and make up stories.

Agency were unprofessional and very unorganised. They rented the property without an EPC and a Gas Safety Certificate

A very small studio on ground level. Always cold with a mouldy smell. Mould buildup in the bathroom and the corner of where the bed is. Had a faulty boiler from the start, landlord would send an incompetent and not Gas Safe Registered. Shower thermostat was jammed at 48 degrees so no cold water. The stress of getting the landlord to do repairs made me ill. Also resulted in harassment from the landlord: entering property without my knowledge, moving my belongings, handling my post, antisocial behaviour by her odd-jobs man. The bills are controlled by the landlord with a very strange way of charging: there's a coin electric meter is in the studio but still get charged on top of that. Landlord has ended up using vindictive behaviour. I've rented for a number of years, this has been the worst.

The only good thing about the place is it was quiet most of the time and parking. Unfortunately the studio is right by the landlords house so my movements were constantly watched and the noise with grandkids became unbareable
