Chandlers Ford: a great place to live, with a not-so-great landlord!

Landlord rating
Despite feigning an approachable demeanor, the visits carried out by his family member, who also worked for the estate agency, Ewemove, that managed the property, they treated me like a child and would critique and belittle the state of the property. They treated me as though they were doing me a favour, rather than treating me like a tenant.
I received a notice to leave (they didn't give me a reason) and, despite stating that the cleaning was amazing, they have tried to claim all of my deposit (£800), even stating that the kitchen required professional services due to 'hygiene concerns', going against their previous statement.
The only redeeming factor was the landlord's quick action to bring in a handyman to carry out repairs (issues with the boiler, heating, etc.).
I would steer clear of this landlord, should you wish to recoup you deposit and if you don't wish to be treated like a child.

Letting Agent rating
The manager was kind and easy to deal with, as well as many of the other letting agents, hence not giving them a lower rating.
Notwithstanding this, one of their employees was the landlords relative and treated the property I was renting as her fiefdom, speaking down to me during visits and acting as though they were doing a favour by renting the property out to me. Additionally, this employee went back on their word during the final inspection stating that the property's cleanliness was amazing and, as my dad had helped with all the cleaning for which I paid him, she said she would hire him if possible. Following this, the LL tried to request the full deposit, claiming the issues were my fault, despite the final inspection remarks.
I cannot speak for their maintenance, but I would steer clear of any properties they manage for the LL Barry Permain

Property rating
Good studio apartment, perfect for my job as an account manager who needed to drive everywhere, as I had a parking space.
One downside was the outdated oven hobs and the tiny (miniscule) sink in the bathroom.
The other downside was the bathroom fan, which couldn't handle the steam coming from the shower, causing the vapour to stick to the walls in the bathroom. Additionally, the bedroom walls were prone to mould, as they only had a sheet of wallpaper, therefore it was easily exposed to the outside elements.
Note (this doesn't reflect the quality of the property, but rather the LLs ridiculous demands): the video that I attached is that of the property following the deep clean that had been carried out following my notice, so be aware that if you go for this property, they may try to take your full deposit!
