You have to pay for gas. i hope they will return my money back for gas. I didnt like behavior of agent (Fabian). in the beginning he agreed to give the key to my friend before i come to London, when my friend came and approached to him, he refused to give the key. Until payment he again agreed to bring the key where my friend lives in the first day of my tenancy period. After payment, he just refused to go there and said YOU/ your Friend must come to the office and take the keys. Two faced person!!!

City Rooms is a letting agency that routinely lies to its customers and treats them with pure contempt. From day one I was lied to about everything about the property, from the state of the property to how long it would be until it was fiuxed, to what housemates I would have, to the internet connection in the property. To make matters worse they sent rude, threatening, and harrassing agents with no notice who would bang and shout at the door and gave me abuse because I had the AUDACITY to lock it from the inside at night. This behaviour only stopped when I told them they were violating my right to quiet enjoyment and threatened to call the police. To top this off, they are wrongly claiming money from my security deposit and I am still in a dispute with them 5 months on (and £20 down due to lawyer fees because they straight up did not respond to my claiming the money). Avoid avoid avoid, the quick initial sign-up is not worth dealing with this horrible company.

Cityrooms' strategy is making money by lying to potential tenants. All info they provide about house, rooms' pictures, people you will be sharing with are wrong. Also what they charge is so much higher than normal cost of renting. When you come back to them to complain they just ignore you. They must have made money during the pandemic taking advantage of people not being able to do viewings. So bad people!!!

Things the sales team agreed were not delivered. They agreed on giving me a very timely update (i.e. at least bi-monthly) on the electricity bills. Many bad reviews about Cityrooms online mentioned this kind of dispute so I asked for this very specifically before signing the contract. The sales person even mentioned that this was a standard contract but Cityrooms would do extra steps to address my concerns so I didn't need to worry about this. Cityrooms didn't keep to its words.During the lockdown, I personally complained a few times to the agency about my roommate having frequent parties and guests coming over without my consent. This would inevitably increase the energy bills by quite a lot. We had a few phone calls about this. At the end, Cityrooms did nothing to solve my complaint except verbally persuaded my roommate not to do it again. And the measure took zero effect and I had to pay the bills for illegal behaviour that I complaint about.

Worst communicators and sales rep I've ever seen. The agents are rude, uncharacteristic, and there's no customer aftercare at all. Given the way they do business, I don't know how this company is still operating.

Very good sale tactics. Advertised as "all bills included" and the charged me over £200 at the end of the tenancy for bills. This company is praying on people unfamiliar with this country and charging ridiculous prices for sub-par properties and appealing service.

Extremely bad communication, never reply to the emails, you have to contact directly with the manager if you want something to be done. After maintenance, the problems get more instead to be solved. Would not recommend this agency at all. Very bad experience

The absolute, utter worst. The only positive quality I can say is that their sales department is really good, but after that, you're on your own.

They charge exorbitant prices for the properties, lie to the landlords, and change fees randomly (a previous flatmate was renting their room for £780, the next tenant was paying £640).

They pressure you into signing the contract before even viewing the property, reasoning that the properties go too fast to give time for a viewing. The contract has quite a few hidden fees they do not inform you about (which is thankfully illegal since the Tenant Fees Act went live), and the contract itself is a joke, dismissing most of the agency's and landlord's responsibilities to the tenant.

After you've moved in, they ignore most problem reports and never answer the phone, or emails - unless they need something, of course. One of their agents even had the audacity to call me in the middle of a work day, and demand that I immediately go home and let them in because they're showing the property, and the keys are in their other office (a 20 minute bus trip at most). I was then rudely cussed out for not obliging, and the call abruptly ended when I pointed it out that it is not my job or responsibility to let them into the apartment, especially without the 24hr notice.

There were multiple repairs conducted without any notice, and no calls/complaints were answered about it. None of these repairs were requested, or necessary - while repairs that were actually required (e.g. a leaky radiator, or the boiler not working) were delayed or never carried out.
