Neighbourhood and local area reviews for renting in Crookes And Crosspool, Sheffield

Crookes is lovely. So many cute shops, pubs, and parks, as well as a regular market! A very mixed neighbourhood between students and local people, and everyone seems to get along.
The only downside is the walk to uni (or rather, the uphill walk back!) but the 52/52A buses run frequently to uni + town.

A brilliant community with close access to a variety of different shops and not too far from the university. Bus routes very close by but a steep hill to climb from the city centre.

Great transport links. Next-door to SPAR and a three minute walk from Tesco. Maybe a fifteen minute walk from Broomhill. This area feels very "residential" and not student-y at all - depending on your background this can be a good or a bad thing! Crosspool is nice enough but a bit sedate. Think this location would be great for somebody who wants a place which is convenient, but quiet.

Super quiet with great views, although at the top of a super steep hill and a bit of a trek from uni.

The area is very safe and close to other students however it is in-between spring hill and conduit so there is no escaping the long walk home. The shops are just over 5 minutes away which is a little long but generally in a good location.

Very studenty area which is nice, bus stop just around the corner and plenty of pubs, shops etc. Within walking distance of the town centre.

You're very close to your friends as Crooked is such a students area. There are lots of good shops just up the road and a pharmacy and some takeaways very close by.

Area is lovely. It's exactly where we wanted to live as we're all students and it's right in the main student area of Sheffield.
