Neighbourhood and local area reviews for renting in Cotham, Bristol

Lovely area, on a pretty stretch of the main road. Not far from the centre, on the main bus route and a short walk from most things you need. A bit far from any big shops but easy to get an Asda delivery or something and the new Lidl just past St Werburgh's isn't too far away.

A lovely area and I encourage everyone to live there. We were just next to Redland station so Gloucester Road was just down the road.

Really nice leafy area, lots of green spaces, close to Gloucester Road and Redland station.

Nice neighbourhood. Nice pub across the road and plenty of shops. No trouble with anyone and a nice atmosphere.

Perfect student neighbourhood. Loud at night. Student road not many families. Poor parking and car access.

Pub opposite is amazing, close to university and stokes croft. Really enjoyed living here.

The Redand area is convenient and sought after to live in as it is has lots of buses going through it as well as a train station and plenty of shops, cafes and bars. It can be a bit loud at night, depending on where you live, but nowhere near as loud as Stokes Croft or some parts of St Pauls. Parking can be tricky and some houses and cars get broken into if they are not alarmed but that is true of all of Bristol, really.

Quiet but with excellent links to nearby UoB, Stokes Croft and the centre.

Redland is lovely, quiet but with shops & some sense of community. Close to uni & train

Area is perfect for University of Bristol, 10m from Cabot Circus, 15 from Clifton Down Sainsbury's. Not much is 'going on', but other than that excellent.

10 minutes walk from Bristol uni. 5 minutes from Gloucester Road (but will have to walk back up a big hill on the way back). A nice, quiet area.

The property was in Redland, a nice area with a mix of families and students. Small corner shops a stones throw from the house and bigger supermarkets, bars and other shops within a 5-10 min walk.

A lovely area with amenities nearby. A bit quiet for me, but close enough to Whiteladies Road, Chandos Road and Gloucester Road.

Great access to local shops and transport links. Nice residential area, though theft rates are high due to high student population.

Very studenty with a few late night parties during term time, so not for you're after a quiet location. Very near to Whiteladies, Gloucester Road and Redland station.
