Neighbourhood and local area reviews for renting in London

Good neighbourhood, close to victoria park, excellent local shops and quiet location.

Beautiful, right next to Victoria Park, quiet and good transport links. The canal is right there too for lovely morning strolls.

There are great transport links nearby, the neighbourhood is a lively family(ish) area. There are definitely a few dodgy people hanging about but for the most part it is a friendly area.

Loads of shops. But the area is not to my taste. At least fresh veg and fruits on your doorstep. We had the pleasure of viewing a few brawls

Lovely neighbourhood, great shops around, park just 7 min away. Enjoyed it very much.

Forest Hill high street is a 10-15 minute walk away. The area is getting trendier by the second aka prices are being inflated.

Pollution is very high around Lewisham, to the point where I have had an uncontrollable coughing fit, and I don't even have asthma.
Apart from that it is good for connections to Central London, but it is becoming a concrete jungle more and more.

I'm a SE Londoner so am used to the area and it's convenient living so close to the high street. The pollution is rising every year though and even though I don't have asthma I have had 2 uncontrollable coughing fits (which are quite scary when you can't stop coughing!) whilst being around there.

West Dulwich - so lots of beautiful streets, great to walk around and a park <5 mins walk away. Good choice of shops in West Norwood or Park Hall Road, both around 10 mins walk. The Rosendale pub nearby is great. Transport links fantastic - West Dulwich and Tulse Hill stations both around 5 mins walk, Brixton tube 10-15 mins bus ride away

Beautiful part of Wimbledon. Very close to the common and surrounding green space. Easy access to all forms of transport (bus, tram, trains and tube).
