Selly Oak is a great area for students, plenty of pubs and shops while very close to the University entrance

Just Selly Oak, north road isn't too noisy apart from the occasional noise from a loud group in the beer garden at the goose. Well lit road and feel safe because of proximity to main road. Permit required for parking on north road.

Very close to uni and shops so location was ideal for us. Small street near main road so well lit and so safe and friendly to walk down.

Typical selly oak. Quieter than dawlish/tiv. Close to Tesco garage, roosters and sainsburys.

Selly feels quite unsafe. Good student pubs and good range supermarkets, e.g. Aldi, Tesco, Sainsburys

Fun if you're a student. Can get very noisy. Lots of shops but these are mostly takeaways.

Area has high crime rate. People often get mugged all the time. Bus and transport links are very good.

The area isn't the nicest place in the world but that is expected of a student area. It is a good well lit road.

I mean, it's Selly Oak. Having said that, walkable to Bournville, Stirchley and Canon Hill Park which is great. V good Indian takeaway and chippy 2 mins away.

Selly oak is very conveniently located for the university, had lots of eaterys and shops. Many bus routes and train stations are very close by so transport links are very easy. However it is not the safest area or cleanest area
