As far as Selly Oak goes, good location! Near the station and Aldi and only a 15 min walk to uni.

Nice area, mix of students and families. Cars cut round the one way system when the junction is busy and are noisy and disruptive though

Good area in terms of shops etc, although a lot of crime. Close to the university so ideal for students

Selly Oak is a student hub which means sometimes it can be loud at night - but that is expected and would be hard to find a property that was secluded enough. 19 Lime Avenue is the perfect location - about a 10/15 min walk from campus and less than 5 minutes to Bristol Road - there is everything you need.

Smelly selly, noisy at night but has everything you need, loads of shops, pubs and restaurants.

Neighbour at 9 is an absolute nightmare, they're a local family and have screaming matches at each other through all times of the night. Also have a dog called Lola who is rarely (potentially never) walked and is therefore barking constantly. Number 7/10 is a student house too which is quite nice, and the houses opposite I think are largely students too. It's a lot quieter being away from the road and not too far away from the high street as well, which is nice. Less than 10 mins into campus. If you have a car, parking can be really difficult as only one side of the street is able to be parked on, and the main road, Dawlish, has lots of little cul-de-sacs like Lime with 20 or so houses of people with cars.

Obviously Selly Oak is relatively dangerous, but it is near Bristol road so not much walking from Uni and tesco express is less than a 30 second walk away, aldi is a 5 min walk away

It's a general student area and very noisy especially on Wednesday and Saturday nights, smashed glass is often left around, my car has had almost £2,000 worth of damage done to it since being parked here

Selly Oak is a student area which has all the necessary transport links and amenities. However it is not a very safe area, and there is always rubbish strewn across the street.
