Neighbourhood and local area reviews for renting in United Kingdom

I actually like the neibourhood, it's the only reason I held on as long as I did. Close to absolutely everything.

Good links with uni and buses etc but a bit loud if you live at the front of the house.

The neighbourhood is OK, not luxurious but close to the city centre and as a result, a very diverse mix of social, racial, circumstantial, professional backgrounds. It does lack social amenities such as restaurants and bars, but there is a beautiful park (Birchfields) and it is a short walk into the city centre. In terms of safety, the street I lived on specifically (Dickenson Rd) could be questionable at times and there was often a man lurking outside my front door asking for money.

Your only neighbour is the landlord. I wish we had know how horrible she was before moving in as we wouldn't have gone near the place. Leaving due to her behaviour.

Right next to park. Walk to station. Fireworks season a big problem. Convenient location.

The neighbourhood is fine but there are not enough lampposts by the gates to feel safe. The property is also never closed so anyone can enter.

It was close to the city center and the neighbourhood had a lot of nice shops nearby.

Broomhall appears much worse than it is, run down in places but a community feel more so than other studenty areas. Convenient for town, eccy road and the universities and hospitals

Lovely area, right near town, parks, the bus/train stations... Bedroom overlooks the lovely Honeybourne walking path. Unfortunate that council office building opposite the flat is due for demolition - this has been ongoing/pending for 8 months.

The property is behind the Cathedral so extremely close to all amenities. The house feels secure with bars over the downstairs windows and many locks, so the city centre location doesn't feel dangerous. A tram stop and bus stops are a 2 minute walk away.
